Part-time Caregiving
About The Position
Caregivers at Carmel Village assist residents with activities of daily living while treating all residents with dignity, respect, and compassion. They follow resident care plans as directed by community leadership and comply with Federal, State, and Local standards for community operation. Team members incorporate Generation’s Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others. This part-time role is in Assisted Living. Shifts are 8 hours and rotate between 5:30 am–2:00 pm or 1:30 pm–10:00 pm on different days; employees do not work double shifts. The rotation is two days on followed by four days off, repeating. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Generations is a family-first, family-owned, and family-operated business serving senior living communities across California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington since 1943. The company is dedicated to supporting residents and staff and values the distinct gifts and complementary skills each team member brings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background checks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Caregiver is preferred but not required.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide is a plus.
