About The Position
Caring Senior Service of San Antonio is hiring caregivers to provide compassionate, non-medical, one-on-one home care to seniors throughout North San Antonio and nearby neighborhoods. The role supports clients in living safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. Assignments may include companionship and emotional support, personal care and daily living assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, mobility assistance, and support for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's. Caregivers help clients maintain their routines, dignity, and independence. Flexible shifts are available, including day, evening, overnight, weekend, short, and longer shifts. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, trustworthy, patient, and dependable.
- Be willing and able to accept assignments throughout North San Antonio and nearby neighborhoods.
- Have reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
- Successfully complete all required background checks.
- Have a genuine desire to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, home care, or as a personal care aide is preferred.
- CNA experience is a plus; certification is not required for every client assignment.
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
- Assist seniors with personal care and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with everyday meal routines.
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and comfortable home.
- Provide timely medication reminders.
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments, shopping, and errands.
- Support mobility, walking, positioning, and safe transfers.
- Provide patient, compassionate assistance to clients living with dementia or Alzheimer's.
- Help seniors follow daily routines while maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
