Hospitalist - San Antonio, TX
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is hiring a Hospitalist to provide bedside wound care in post-acute settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visit 2–3 facilities per day, and treat approximately 20–30 patients per day. The mobile practice covers facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The role offers full-time work, generally 4–5 weekdays per week, or part-time work with a minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week. Full-time hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are no night, on-call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. The position is W-2 employment; work visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Requirements
- Hold an active, full, and unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where the physician wishes to practice.
- Commit to a minimum of 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
