About The Position
Companions Forever is hiring caregivers to provide non-medical home care to clients across multiple service areas in Connecticut. Caregivers follow each client's individualized Plan of Care and help clients maintain independence and comfort at home. The role offers flexible scheduling, with weekday, weekend, awake overnight, and live-in shifts available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Open availability is preferred.
- Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical home care in accordance with each client's individualized Plan of Care.
- Transport clients to appointments and activities.
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping.
- Assist clients with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Document care and provide reminders as directed.
