About The Position

Companions Forever is hiring Caregivers to provide non-medical home care across multiple service areas in Connecticut. Caregivers follow each client’s individualized Plan of Care and help clients maintain independence and comfort at home. The role may include weekday, weekend, awake overnight, and live-in shifts, with flexible scheduling. Caregivers may transport clients to appointments and activities, assist with household tasks and personal care, offer companionship, and document care and provide reminders as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Open availability is preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care according to each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist clients with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
