About The Position
Griswold Care for the Greater Twin Cities is hiring a part-time Caregiver/PCA/DSP in the Ham Lake area. The position pays $19.00–$22.00 per hour and offers flexible hours, with opportunities to assist seniors on day and night shifts. Client care needs range from as little as four hours to 24-hour care. Hours may change based on client needs, care plan adjustments, and staffing requirements. Caregivers provide non-medical elderly care and companionship to help seniors live as fully and independently as possible in their homes. Duties include household assistance, personal care, companionship, shift documentation, and routine communication with the office about clients’ conditions and needs. Care may include supporting clients with dementia or cognitive impairments. Griswold is a home care company with more than 200 locations across 31 states, providing and referring professional caregivers. Its services include companion care, home services, personal care, and respite care. Requirements
- Reliable transportation.
- Current valid driver's license.
- Current valid auto insurance.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness to travel up to 25 miles.
- Compassionate, positive, punctual, and dependable approach to caregiving is sought.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.
- Willingness to learn; training is offered.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship.
- Help seniors live as fully and independently as possible in their homes.
- Assist with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
- Help clients maintain personal hygiene and perform daily tasks such as bathing and feeding.
- Provide companionship to clients, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Complete shift documentation carefully and submit timely updates.
- Communicate routinely with the office about clients’ conditions and needs.
