About The Position
Griswold Care in Apple Valley is hiring a part-time Caregiver/PCA/DSP to provide non-medical elderly care and companionship in clients’ homes. Caregivers support clients with daily living tasks while preserving their dignity and independence. Duties may include companionship, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping, bathing, personal hygiene, and care for clients with dementia or cognitive impairments. Caregivers document services accurately at the end of shifts and notify the office of changes in clients’ care. Training is provided. The role offers flexible scheduling, with day and night shifts available; client care needs range from four hours to 24-hour care. Hours may change based on client needs, care plan adjustments, and staffing requirements.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.
- Updated driver’s license and auto insurance.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.
Responsibilities
- Help senior clients manage daily living tasks in their homes.
