About The Position

Griswold Care in Apple Valley is hiring a part-time Caregiver/PCA/DSP to provide elderly care and companionship in clients’ homes. Caregivers help clients with daily living tasks and provide non-medical care while preserving clients’ dignity. The role includes companionship, household assistance, personal hygiene support, and occasional care for clients with dementia or cognitive impairments. Caregivers document their work at the end of each shift and report changes in clients’ care to the office. The position offers flexible scheduling, with day and night shifts available. Client care needs range from as little as four hours to 24-hour care. Hours may change based on client needs, care-plan adjustments, and staffing requirements. The company is willing to train caregivers and offers paid orientation and training, ongoing development opportunities, and advancement opportunities.

Requirements

Reliable transportation.
Current driver’s license and auto insurance.
Compassionate, patient, dependable, and able to maintain a positive attitude while assisting clients.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.
Willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

Help clients manage daily living tasks in their homes.
Provide cheerful companionship to clients.

Occasionally provide care to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Submit accurate documentation at the end of each shift and update the office about changes to clients’ care.
