About The Position

Griswold Care in Minnetonka is hiring a part-time CNA/In-Home Caregiver to provide elderly care and companionship in clients’ homes. Caregivers support clients with daily living tasks and provide non-medical care in a way that preserves their dignity. The role includes companionship, household assistance, personal hygiene support, and occasional care for clients with dementia or cognitive impairments. Accurate shift documentation and updates to the office about changes in clients’ care are also expected. The position offers flexible scheduling, with day and night shifts available. Individual clients may need as little as four hours of care or up to 24-hour care. Hours may change based on client needs, care plan adjustments, and staffing requirements. The stated pay is $19–$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Reliable transportation.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
The ability to provide compassionate elderly care and companionship.
The ability to maintain a positive attitude while helping with household tasks.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of home care experience; caring for a loved one counts.
Willingness to learn; the employer is willing to train.

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical care and assistance with daily living tasks in clients’ homes.
Offer cheerful companionship to senior clients.
Assist with household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
Help clients bathe and maintain personal hygiene while treating them professionally and respectfully.
Occasionally provide care for clients with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Submit accurate documentation at the end of each shift and inform the office of changes to clients’ care.
