About The Position

Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) is a nonprofit, non-sectarian agency and a major provider of workforce development services in Greater Boston. Its mission is to help people from diverse communities overcome employment barriers and build meaningful careers, while partnering with employers to hire, train, and sustain productive workforces. The Career Coach provides job-readiness training to individuals with disabilities, including pre-employment and on-the-job training through individual coaching and small-group instruction. In the MassAbility Transition Program, the Coach delivers career exploration, self-advocacy, work-readiness, and post-secondary education counseling to career seekers with disabilities ages 14–22 who are enrolled in school or higher education. The program also provides work-based learning in employer settings.
