About The Position

Care.com is seeking empathetic, solutions-oriented After Hours Care Specialists to support members by phone, email, and chat. The role helps families navigate care solutions and corporate benefits, and connects members with urgent crisis resources during evenings and weekends. The position is remote for the Dallas, Texas area. The weekly schedule is in Eastern Time: Monday and Tuesday off; Wednesday 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.; Thursday and Friday 8:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.; Saturday 9:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; and Sunday 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Compensation is $19.23–$24.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on factors including work location, experience, and performance. The total compensation package may also include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.

Requirements

2–4+ years of customer or client service experience.
High emotional intelligence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multitasking skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be reliable, adapt to change, and remain open to continuous coaching.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a human services field such as social work or public health.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Answer inbound member calls, emails, and chats with empathy and professionalism.
Guide members to mental health resources, including EAP, and provide critical resources for urgent shelter, food, or crisis situations.
Verify member eligibility and accurately document interactions in the CRM system.
Meet or exceed daily and weekly KPIs, including service level agreements and customer satisfaction scores.
