About The Position

The Care Partner supports residents at Rock Creek in Ankeny, Iowa, by creating human connection and providing assistance with activities of daily living. The role emphasizes empathy, dependability, inclusion, curiosity, and a positive attitude toward residents, team members, and the community. Care Partners assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care, and may help residents sit, stand, walk, or recover after a fall. This is a full-time overnight position with a two-week repeating schedule: Monday, Saturday, and Sunday in week one; Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in week two. The shift is 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Pay is $18 to $22.25 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.
