About The Position

The Care Partner at Rock Creek in Ankeny, Iowa, supports residents with empathy and helps create meaningful human connections during vulnerable moments. The role involves being present and dependable, contributing to an inclusive and positive environment, and remaining curious and engaged in ongoing development and training. Care Partners proactively assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care. The position is part-time, scheduled Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and pays $18 to $22.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive and energetic attitude and a strong interest in caring for residents.
Possess computer skills to print documents and enter information about residents.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
Obtain criminal clearance.
