About The Position

The Care Partner supports residents at University Living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, by creating human connections and providing empathetic, dependable care. The role includes proactively assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care. Care Partners are expected to contribute to an inclusive and positive environment, be engaged in their training and development, and support residents and team members with a positive, energetic attitude. This is a part-time position scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The schedule lists Wednesday in Week 1 and Monday in Week 2. The pay range is $18–$21 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude and willingness to care for residents.
Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents, particularly during vulnerable moments.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
Help residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
Contribute to an inclusive and positive environment for residents, team members, and the community.
