Care Assistant (Evenings)
About The Position
Home Instead is seeking kind and reliable Care Assistants to support older adults across Folkestone and Hythe, Kent. The role involves evening work from 16:00 to 21:00 and alternate weekends. Home Instead emphasizes quality, unhurried care, with visits lasting at least an hour so clients can receive personal support and companionship and live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. Care Assistants support clients with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, light household tasks, companionship, and medication reminders or other health-related tasks where appropriate. No prior care experience is required; the employer values a caring attitude and will provide training and support.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
- Clear English and good communication skills.
- A warm, patient, and caring nature.

Responsibilities
- Provide respectful personal care, including assistance with washing, showering, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene while maintaining clients’ dignity and independence.
- Support clients with mobility and help them move safely around their homes.
- Prepare meals, snacks, and hot drinks.
- Complete light household tasks to help keep clients’ homes safe and comfortable.
- Offer companionship, conversation, and a friendly presence.
- Provide medication reminders and other health-related support where appropriate.
