About The Position
Home Instead is seeking kind, reliable Care Assistants to support older adults across Folkestone and Hythe, Kent. The role involves evening work from 16:00 to 22:00 and alternate weekends. Care Assistants provide companionship and personal support, helping clients live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. Visits are at least one hour long, allowing time to provide unhurried, personalized care. No previous experience is required; the employer values the right attitude and caring nature and provides training and support.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
- Clear English and good communication skills.
- Warm, patient, and caring nature.
- No previous care experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide respectful personal care, including assistance with washing, showering, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene while maintaining clients’ dignity and independence.
- Support clients with mobility and help them move safely around their homes.
- Prepare meals, snacks, and hot drinks.
- Complete light household tasks to keep clients’ homes safe and comfortable.
- Offer companionship, conversation, and a friendly presence.
- Provide medication reminders and other health-related support where appropriate.
