Care Assistant (Evenings & Weekends)
About The Position
The Care Assistant provides personal care and support to customers in their own homes, working with other staff to respect each person’s dignity and promote independence. Support may include assistance reasonably provided by a family member, but does not include tasks normally undertaken by a trained nurse. The role delivers community care in Dartford, Gravesham and Medway; it is not a care-home position. No previous care experience is necessary because full training is provided. The position is advertised as full time and zero hours, with guaranteed hours available on request. The stated schedule is 7 p.m.–10 p.m. Monday to Friday and every other weekend. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are required. The employer does not provide sponsorship.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own car.
- Desire to care for others.
- Must live in or around the Dartford, Gravesham or Medway area.
- No previous care experience is necessary; training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals.
- Provide companionship and social visits.
- Provide personal care.
- Administer medication.
- Keep accurate records of the support provided and communicate clearly with team members.
- Provide a safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led service.
