About The Position
Home Instead is hiring a Care Assistant to provide non-medical care and companionship to older people in their own homes. The role supports clients’ comfort, safety, independence, wellbeing, and social connections. Visits are a minimum of one hour, and CAREGivers are matched with clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to build trust and provide personalised support. The work pattern is evenings, from 15:45 to 22:30, though call times may vary. Industry-leading training and support are provided. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure; sponsorship is not offered at this time.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and wellbeing support.
- Help clients with everyday tasks, including preparing meals and light housework.
- Accompany clients to shops or appointments and help them access their community.
- Support clients in maintaining hobbies and social connections.
- Assist clients with washing, dressing, or bathing.
- Help with administering medication or prompt clients to take it.
- Help clients remain comfortable and safe so they can stay independent in their own homes.
