About The Position

As a Care Assistant in reablement, you will help customers regain independence and continue living in their own homes. Support may include helping customers relearn everyday skills, including personal care, mobility and meal preparation. No previous experience is required; ECL provides training, followed by a mentor who accompanies you to meet customers and works alongside you until you feel confident in the role. The position includes guaranteed contracted hours and support to progress through specialist training and nationally recognised qualifications. This is a community-based role involving travel around Wickford and the surrounding area. A full driving licence, access to a car and business insurance are required. ECL pays the tax-free mileage allowance of 55p per mile and pays for travel time between customers. Contracts of 30 hours are available, and the employer says it offers full-time and part-time contracts. Pay is £13.71 per hour on weekdays and £15.71 per hour on weekends, with double pay (£27.42 per hour) on bank holidays. Shifts include weekday evenings from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and weekend shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
