About The Position

This field-based and remote opportunity supports key accounts in an assigned geography. The Territory Account Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for accounts and health care providers, builds customer relationships, identifies shared priorities, and connects customers with Novartis resources to improve patient outcomes. The role balances demand generation with strategic account engagement and uses clinical and account-based selling, access navigation, collaborative problem-solving, team coordination, and omni-channel engagement. The position is filled at a level commensurate with experience. The candidate must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border. Novartis does not offer relocation support or visa sponsorship for this role. Driving is an essential function, and the role requires a fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license. Travel of 60–80% over a broad geography is required, including driving and/or flying within the territory. For field roles with a dedicated training period, the successful candidate must complete initial training, including home study of no more than eight hours per day and no more than forty hours per week. Customer-facing employees must follow applicable customer credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination. Reasonable accommodation requests will be considered as required by law. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams within the last five years. Candidates from other complex sales environments may also be considered. Candidates should have a record of consistent high performance and experience navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers. They must be self-starting, analytical, ethical, and able to work across functions and communicate product information effectively. Leveling is based on experience: Associate Territory Account Specialists may have limited prior sales experience or qualifying US military leadership experience; Territory Account Specialists generally have 2+ years of relevant experience; Senior Territory Account Specialists generally have 5+ years; and Executive Territory Account Specialists generally have 10+ years.
