About The Position

Bon Secours Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon for call coverage. This is a locum position to cover ongoing needs starting May 28th for at least two months, with potential for sporadic coverage thereafter. The need arises due to a provider's medical emergency. The hospital is a full-service acute care facility with 250 beds, including 60 ICU beds. The practice currently has one physician and two mid-levels. Onsite lab and x-ray services are available, and the documentation system is EPIC.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiovascular, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery
• BLS/ACLS
• OH state license
• Must have a clean record
• Must be able to cover the listed dates

Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage for Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery.
• Perform General CV/Thoracic/Vascular Surgeries.
• Perform Coronary artery bypass surgery.
• Perform Congenital defect repairs.
• Perform Valvular repair/replacements.
• Perform Aneurysm repair.
• Perform Lung resection (including VATs).
• Perform Chest wall/pleural procedures.
• Perform Esophagus/diaphragm surgeries.
• Perform Endarterectomy (Carotid & Renal).
• Manage ventilation.
• Perform Bronchoscopy.
• Evaluate and manage acute vol/BP issues.
