About The Position
We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum position. This role involves providing inpatient and outpatient services for adult medicine patients. The position requires a commitment to a 2-week on/off rotation, including weekend rounds and night call. Training on the EPIC EMR system will be provided.
Requirements
- Active hospital privileges
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility
- Relevant training/experience
- Active Virginia medical license
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EPIC EMR system (training will be provided)
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient services (75% of role)
- Provide outpatient services (25% of role)
- Conduct patient rounds on weekends
- Manage 5-10 patients per rounding session
- Be available for night call from 3 PM to 7 AM
- Provide 24-hour call coverage from 7 AM Saturday to 7 AM Sunday
