About The Position

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time and part-time Cage Cashiers at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. The role handles substantial amounts of currency and provides cashiering services for guests, including cashing checks and redeeming tickets, vouchers, and chips. This is a tipped position; the listed hourly minimum pay does not include potential tip earnings. Southland Casino Hotel has more than 2,200 slot machines, live blackjack, craps, and roulette tables, simulcast wagering, a sportsbook, and a hotel with 300 rooms and suites.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent math skills, including addition and subtraction.
• Basic computer skills.
• No high school diploma or GED is required.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of cash-handling experience, preferably handling large amounts of money.

Responsibilities

• Handle large sums of money, including validating guest tickets, distributing cash to team members for jackpots and hand-pays, processing and verifying travelers’ checks, approving and cashing checks, and providing cash advance services.
• Maintain an accurate count of banks.
• Perform regular cash buys to the Cage Supervisor.
• Issue and redeem chips; process chip fills and credits.
• Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures.
