Casino Cage Cashier (Part-Time)

About The Position

A Cage Cashier assists customers with exchanging casino chips, slot vouchers, and other items for U.S. currency. The role also assists with jackpot payouts and manages credit applications. The position requires flexibility in shifts and hours and involves working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Requirements

At least one year of cash-handling experience.
Ability to operate a computer terminal.
Ability to communicate clearly and in a friendly manner with the public.
Solid decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn additional areas and demonstrate a positive, team-player attitude.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking, hands-on environment.
Must be able to obtain a valid Casino Employee Registrant License.
Flexibility in shift and hours is required.

Nice To Haves

Six months of cage cashier experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Control and account for transactions at the cage window, main bank, chip bank, and check bank.
Provide positive, courteous, and professional guest service to guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
Maintain compliance with the incompatibility rule and the approved Secondary Program in accordance with Internal Controls.
Perform guest and in-house monetary transactions.
Comply with New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement regulations, IRS Currency Transaction reporting laws, and departmental and company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties delegated by departmental management, such as shredding, obtaining supplies, and organizing.
Balance and issue impress banks to Floor Attendants and Food and Beverage and Hotel employees.
Report and log all Title 31 transactions.
Perform job functions described in the NJAC Administrative Code and Golden Nugget Atlantic City Controls pertaining to general cashiers, slot cashiers, and chip persons.
Prepare and verify casino files as described in J.A.C. 19:45-1.27.
