About The Position
As a Cage Cashier, you will pay customers for winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens. You will handle large sums of money and must follow casino procedures exactly. The role also includes assisting customers with gaming procedures and payouts, verifying identification and ticket authenticity, and maintaining accurate transaction records. You will report to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty.
Requirements
- Experience handling large volumes of cash.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of high-volume cash-handling policies.
- Ability to apply basic math, including arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions.
Responsibilities
- Handle large sums of money and pay out tickets while following casino procedures exactly.
- Ensure required paperwork is signed and included in shift packets for auditing.
- Ensure customers sign for payouts above the location-set amount before paying the ticket.
- Answer customer or public inquiries about general gaming procedures and payouts.
- Make change and exchange money, credit, tokens, and tickets at customers’ request.
- Verify customer identification when needed.
- Verify the authenticity of tickets and payout requests.
- Maintain accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
