About The Position

As a Cage Cashier, you pay out winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens to customers. You are responsible for large sums of money and must follow casino procedures exactly. The position reports to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty. The role pays $10.00 per hour plus tips and is part-time, with a Saturday-through-Tuesday schedule from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekly earned wage access is available as an option.

Requirements

• Experience handling large volumes of cash.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of high-volume cash-handling policies.
• Ability to apply basic math, including arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions.

Responsibilities

• Follow casino procedures when handling large sums of money and paying out tickets.
• Ensure required paperwork is signed and included in shift packets for auditing.
• Ensure customers sign for payouts over the location-set amount before paying the ticket.
• Answer customer and public inquiries about general gaming procedures and payouts.
• Make change and exchange money, credit, tokens, and tickets at customers’ request.
• Verify customer identification when needed.
• Verify the authenticity of tickets and payout requests.
• Maintain accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
