About The Position

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Cage Cashier at Hamburg Gaming in Hamburg, New York. The role handles currency, cashes checks, and redeems tickets, vouchers, and chips for guests in a fast-paced gaming environment. This is a tipped position; the stated hourly minimum does not include potential tipped earnings. Overnight hours may fall anytime between 4 p.m. and 4:30 a.m., and some training may take place on a mid-shift from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Shift differentials are paid for hours worked from midnight to 6 a.m. Weekend and holiday work is required. Hamburg Gaming, managed by Delaware North, is located at the Erie County Fairgrounds near Buffalo and has 940 gaming machines on its main gaming floor, as well as an outdoor gaming patio.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be able to obtain and maintain a state gaming license.
Have intermediate computer skills, including routine data input and record keeping.
Have basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
Be able to work across departmental lines.

Responsibilities

Handle large sums of money, including processing and verifying vouchers, approving and cashing checks, and providing cash advance services.
Distribute cash to floor attendants for jackpots and hand-pays.
Maintain an accurate drawer count and complete required paperwork correctly.
Perform regular cash buys to the Cage Supervisor or Main Banker.
Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures.
Provide excellent customer service.
Frequently use a money counter, computer, and calculator; multitask and maintain attention to detail.
Perform other duties as assigned.
