About The Position

Cage Cashiers provide excellent customer service to employees and vendors in all situations. Duties must be performed within Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Commission requirements.

Under the supervision of the Cage Supervisor, the Cage Cashier controls and accounts for cage transactions. Cage Cashiers may assist with credit functions by accepting credit applications and processing gaming and credit reports, but do not have access to credit files.

This is a position at a smoking establishment. The role has access to specified sensitive cashier, cage, kiosk, and cash-box keys, as well as the general gaming floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to six months of cash handling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
• Must be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming License.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests or team members.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to operate computer software programs and 10-key adding machines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Availability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps, and sitting are required.
