About The Position

The Cage Cashier distributes money to gaming customers by redeeming coins and gaming vouchers, cashing checks, and providing cash advances on credit/debit cards while delivering fast, courteous service. The role opens, maintains, safeguards, and closes a bank during an assigned shift, and follows casino cage policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. The Cage Cashier is expected to provide friendly, professional service, maintain confidentiality, and support the Odawa Casino Resort mission and values. The position may require working at other properties as needed and performing other duties within its scope.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Flexibility with shifts and days off, including ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
• Ability to obtain a gaming license under regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission and to serve in the position under applicable law.
• May be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine whether minimum qualifications can be met.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
• Conduct oneself positively and professionally, serving as a role model for Team Members.
• Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming casino promotions and events.
• Open, maintain, safeguard, and close a bank during an assigned shift.
• Make change for customers in accordance with Casino Cage Policy.
• Exchange customer chips and gaming vouchers for cash in accordance with cage policy.
• Cash checks and provide cash advances on credit/debit cards in accordance with cage policy.
• Follow applicable Tribal, federal, state, and local laws and Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) regulations.
• Follow Cage policies and procedures.
• Attend required meetings and satisfactorily complete required training.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Work at other properties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
• Uphold the Odawa Casino mission and values.
