About The Position

Canyon Ranch is hiring a Cafe Server to provide quality food service to guests in a friendly and efficient manner. The role involves serving clean, organic, and sustainable cuisine to guests focused on health and wellness, while helping educate them about food and nutrition. Servers provide attentive service and build relationships with returning guests and members. The position is available full-time or part-time. Hourly pay is $17.00 for breakfast and lunch shifts and $19.00 for evening shifts, with incentive potential. Benefits include free gym and health club membership with access to 60 fitness classes, lectures and workshops; 55% off services; and complimentary weekday meals.

Requirements

One to two years of experience in a fast-paced food environment.
Understanding of healthy dining.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work weekends and holidays; the resort welcomes guests 365 days a year.
Ability to explain menus and ingredients and take guests’ orders.
Flexible and guest-service oriented.
Mature, outgoing attitude, sense of urgency, and proactive demeanor.
Pride in Canyon Ranch standards of excellent food service.

Responsibilities

Perform dining-room setup and breakdown according to standard operating procedures.
Greet guests politely and positively, take food and beverage orders, and serve them in a friendly and timely manner.
Check on guests periodically during meals and attend to their needs, using their names where appropriate.
Answer questions about the menu and learn Canyon Ranch’s nutritional philosophy, menu ingredients, overall operation, activities, and services.
Explain menus and ingredients and take guests’ orders.
Provide attentive, efficient guest service and help educate guests about healthy dining.
