About The Position

Friendship Village of Dublin is seeking a Cafe Server for its Culinary Department. The Server provides 5-star service and builds meaningful relationships with residents and their guests. The role is part-time, with available Monday–Friday hours from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and requires the employee to be at least 18 years old. Training is available for candidates without preferred fine-dining experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Interpret and explain menu items, answer or refer questions, coordinate meal service, and understand requests.
• Work cooperatively with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers.
• Demonstrate courtesy, tact, and graciousness.

Nice To Haves

• Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club, preferably in fine dining; training is available.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests and answer questions about menu items.
• Set tables and keep workstations properly organized.
• Take orders and provide requested items and service graciously and courteously.
• Deliver food promptly and attend to guests’ needs throughout the dining experience.
• Clear dishes during and after meal service.
• Adapt customer service to residents and guests’ needs and the expectations of each dining location.
• Assist with dishwashing and distributing clean dishes as needed.
• Maintain safe and sanitary work areas.
• Follow personal hygiene standards and the department dress code.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks.
• Attend assigned in-service training and education sessions.
• Perform other specific duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
