About The Position

The Pool Cafe Server reports to the Manager and Chef and provides efficient, courteous, quality service to club members and guests poolside. The role involves walking in and out of the Resort and working in an environment with temperature changes between the kitchen and the outdoor pool area.

Requirements

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language or languages used in the workplace.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Must have Florida food handlers and alcohol awareness certifications, or acquire them within 30 days of hire.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Server experience or related food-serving experience is preferred.
General knowledge of serving.

Responsibilities

Set up the station or tables and complete side work.
Maintain the condition and cleanliness of serving equipment.
Greet guests and verify member identity using a membership card.
Take orders and serve food and beverages, using suggestive selling techniques for specials and the fish of the day.
Clear tables during service.
Handle and expedite guest requests promptly by following guest check and ordering procedures.
Communicate with kitchen personnel and precheck orders before receiving food from the kitchen.
Inform the Manager of problems or complaints.
Perform assigned cleaning tasks.
Handle payment of checks.
Perform other duties assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.
Be responsible for service items, transport carts, kitchen equipment, and cleaning equipment.
