About The Position

Verdana Village Master Association in Estero, Florida is hiring a part-time Cafe Server for a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, the role contributes to a company specializing in golf, hospitality, and residential community management. The position involves guest service, food and beverage order handling, workstation upkeep, golf station setup and breakdown, cash and point-of-sale transactions, and cross-training in bartending. Compensation is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.
• Meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• A valid driver's license is required when operating the picker for range balls or a golf cart.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties.
• Knowledge of a point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate attention to guests upon seating.
• Describe daily specials, answer questions about menu items, and offer suggestions when appropriate.
• Take food and beverage orders and promptly deliver prepared food to guests.
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintain an organized workstation and complete side work duties.
• Set up and break down golf stations each shift.
• Account for checks and cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system.
• Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follow standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
• Use tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Cross-train in bartending service.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
• Operate the picker for range balls and golf carts when required, using a valid driver's license.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
