About The Position

The part-time Café Server at the Hilton Milwaukee provides food and beverage service tailored to each guest in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner to support a superior level of guest satisfaction. The role is hourly and union, with morning, weekend, and holiday shifts available. The server also completes side work and cleaning tasks and performs additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

• Prior food, beverage, cash handling, and hospitality experience is preferred.
• Desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Ability to learn table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• Proficiency in English for understanding menus, recording orders, and communicating with guests.
• Ability to recall and promote menu items.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and clean uniform.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials and promotions.
• Record and enter guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments while following liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks, including restocking and replenishing condiments.
• Maintain self-banking procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
