Café Ambassador- Hyde Park

Capital One•Chicago, IL
•Onsite

About The Position

The Café Ambassador is the face of Capital One’s mission to change banking for good, working in a modern community hub rather than behind a traditional teller line. The role combines high-end customer service with guidance on digital banking, helping connect digital innovation with human interaction. The Café is also a local coffee shop, but the ambassador does not serve coffee. The ambassador proactively engages guests, shares information about Capital One products and services through genuine conversation without traditional sales quotas, and helps customers use mobile tools and resolve technology challenges. The role also supports local financial-health events within Capital One’s established programs and community partnerships, advocates for customers, resolves issues in line with compliance and regulatory requirements, and helps create an inclusive and welcoming environment. This is an active, customer-facing position that involves moving throughout the Café and supporting nearby locations as needed, including locations within a 50-mile radius and occasionally elsewhere in the broader region. The schedule is flexible and may include nights, weekends, and holidays; business-driven schedule changes and training sessions on a different schedule may be required. The position requires extended periods of standing and moving and lifting up to 25 pounds.
