Business Value Consultant

Lovable•San Francisco, CA
•$219,000 - $295,500•Onsite

About The Position

Lovable is hiring its first Business Value Consultant to own how the company quantifies, delivers, and proves value across the enterprise customer journey. The role partners with Sales to build business cases for enterprise deals, with Customer Success to measure and report realized value after go-live, and with the Head of Transformation to help strategic customers expand Lovable into an organization-wide change in how software is built. The work combines direct involvement in the largest and most complex accounts with scalable tools and methods that enable the broader Revenue team to run credible value conversations independently. The consultant will define Lovable’s end-to-end value methodology, connecting the value hypothesis used in early sales conversations with the business case, customer success plan, and realized-value reporting used at renewal. The role will also create reusable toolkits, customer proof, benchmarks, and playbooks, and feed customer insights to Product, Pricing, and Marketing. The position is based in one of Lovable’s US hubs: San Francisco, New York City, or Boston. It is not eligible for remote work. Lovable is unable to support visa sponsorship or transfers at this time.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in value consulting, value engineering, management consulting, or a strategy or finance role supporting enterprise SaaS.
  • Direct involvement in deals of $500K or more in ACV and in the post-sale relationships that followed.
  • A track record of building business cases and ROI/TCO models used by executive buyers to justify purchases, and defending those models under finance and procurement scrutiny.
  • Experience measuring realized value after go-live, including defining customer success metrics, instrumenting them, and presenting results to executive sponsors at renewals or business reviews.
  • Fluency in enterprise accounting for software, internal engineering capacity, and vendor spend, including cost of delay, fully loaded developer cost, opportunity cost of backlog, build-versus-buy, and consumption-based pricing.
  • Ability to work across the full customer lifecycle and collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and transformation teams.
  • Experience productizing consulting work into tools such as calculators, applications, dashboards, or enablement resources so others can use it independently.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to lead value discovery workshops and present CFO-ready summaries.
  • Analytical rigor and commercial judgment, including the ability to identify important assumptions, source them from customers, and determine when a model is sufficient to support a decision.
  • Fluency with AI tools in daily work and curiosity to build in Lovable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience quantifying value for developer tools, low-code or no-code platforms, AI platforms, or internal-tooling categories.

Responsibilities

  • Own Lovable’s end-to-end value methodology, including value hypotheses by persona and use case, ROI/TCO models, success-plan templates, and realized-value reporting standards.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Solutions Architects on the largest opportunities to lead value discovery, quantify current-state cost and opportunity, and build business cases for economic buyers.
  • At customer handoff, work with Customer Success to turn the business case into a success plan with agreed metrics, baselines, and review cadence.
  • Work with Customer Success after go-live to measure outcomes and present realized value to executive sponsors at business reviews and renewals.
  • Partner with the Head of Transformation on strategic accounts to develop enterprise-wide cases, operating models, adoption roadmaps, and board-level narratives.
  • Build and maintain a value toolkit for the Revenue team, including a self-serve ROI calculator, discovery guides, business-case and success-plan templates, and a realized-value dashboard, using Lovable where possible.
  • Build and maintain a customer proof library with reference metrics, case studies containing real numbers, and industry benchmarks.
  • Enable Account Executives, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success Managers to lead value conversations, while reserving direct involvement for the largest and most complex accounts.
  • Instrument the toolkit to identify which value drivers close deals, which success metrics predict renewal, and where the methodology should change.
  • Turn successful frameworks, methods, and assets into reusable playbooks for go-to-market teams across regions.
  • Lead value discovery workshops and executive business-case reviews for strategic and enterprise deals.
  • Run realized-value reviews with executive sponsors in top accounts ahead of renewal and expansion.
  • Partner with the Head of Transformation on selected enterprise transformation programs, owning quantification and executive reporting.
  • Share customer learnings with Product, Pricing, and Marketing, including insights on important value drivers, packaging, and customer success measures.
