About The Position

AeroVironment is building a Business Transformation function to help address pressing company challenges and increase the speed of execution during a period of significant growth. The Business Transformation Manager will lead high-priority projects from problem definition through implementation and handoff, and improve processes, systems, and ways of working that constrain speed, scale, or execution. This is a hands-on role that involves identifying root causes, working through cross-functional and cultural challenges, developing tools or processes, and training teams to adopt new practices—not simply recommending strategies. The role partners with teams including Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, Programs, and Growth, amplifying subject matter experts’ impact while handling related generalist work. As one of the first employees in the Business Operations function, the manager will help establish the team, shape its project portfolio, brief executive leadership, and recruit talent. The position is onsite in Simi Valley, California. Access to certain information requires verification of U.S. person status under ITAR and/or EAR; some positions may require current U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements.

Requirements

  • A track record of implementing solutions, not just recommending strategies.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across functions and seniority levels, from shop-floor technicians to senior executives.
  • High agency, grit, tenacity, and ability to take ownership and see projects through to completion.
