Business Technology Analyst, Specialist
About The Position
The Business Technology Analyst analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and helps define system scope and objectives. The role advises on the business implications of technology, translates client requirements into functional documentation, and participates in technical design and test planning. The analyst supports implementation of new and existing applications, including collecting, documenting, and maintaining functional requirements and models. Responsibilities also include designing, prototyping, coding, and testing applications; reviewing procedures and workflows and recommending improvements; assisting with system and software implementation; monitoring application operations; and troubleshooting problems. The position also participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Vanguard uses a hybrid working model for the majority of crew members, combining flexibility with in-person learning, collaboration, and connection. Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
Requirements
- Three years of related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and user needs and document requirements.
- Assist in defining systems scope and objectives, and advise on the business implications of applying technology.
- Translate client requirements into functional documentation and participate in technical designs and test planning.
- Support customer processes and activities for implementation of new or existing applications.
- Support the collection, documentation, and maintenance of functional requirements and modeling.
- Design, prototype, code, and test new or enhanced applications.
- Analyze current procedures and workflows and recommend improvements, revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
- Assist with implementation of systems and software.
- Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshoot problems as necessary.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
