About The Position
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with a client to hire a Business Systems / QA Analyst for a 15+ month contract. This hybrid role is based in Buffalo, New York, and the employee will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. The analyst prepares functional specifications, test plans, and test case documentation; researches and analyzes moderately complex data to confirm functional accuracy; and supports project planning and delivery. The role leads requirements gathering with business clients, translates business requirements into functional specifications, and coordinates with technology teams, vendors, and testing teams on implementation and user acceptance testing. The analyst also monitors project scope, timelines, regulatory adherence, and compliance requirements, and acts as a test coordinator for large initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience working in commercial banking.
- Experience with SIT and UAT test management or coordination, preferably with loan servicing systems.
- Ability to write business requirements and test scripts or cases.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A combined minimum of 5 years of higher education and/or business analytics experience.
- Strong time management, organizational, and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience preparing BRDs, test plans, and functional documentation.
- Proficiency with PC-based tools and relevant project management applications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare functional specifications, test plans, and test case documentation.
- Research and analyze moderately complex data to ensure functional accuracy.
- Mentor junior staff and assist with application training and project methodology.
- Facilitate project meetings and lead requirements gathering with business clients.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and liaise with the technology team.
- Estimate timelines and deliverables for moderately complex to complex projects.
- Act as test coordinator for large initiatives and participate in post-implementation reviews.
- Coordinate with vendors and testing teams for implementation and UAT planning.
- Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, and audit standards.
- Monitor scope, timeline, and regulatory adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
