About The Position

Cornerstone Capital Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Systems Analyst with mortgage industry knowledge to help customize a commercial off-the-shelf Loan Origination System. The role is part of the IT team and supports the quality of applications, processes, and infrastructure as the company expands its technology portfolio. The QA team works closely with Product Management, Software Development, and IT Operations, using methods such as user acceptance, functionality, performance, and regression testing, and embracing test automation. The analyst will use knowledge of the mortgage origination process to test software workflows, identify and track defects, verify fixes, and help ensure applications are ready for use by mortgage origination team members. The role also supports systems after release by troubleshooting reported defects and confirming their resolution.

Requirements

0–2 years of experience as a software tester in a professional environment.
1–3 years of experience working in mortgage lending.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
Basic proficiency with Windows and web applications, and familiarity with MacOS, iOS, and Android.
Ability to troubleshoot unexpected outcomes.

Responsibilities

Create workflow-based test cases to verify software functionality and usability.
Execute test cases with attention to user experience and workflow requirements.
Report software defects, help troubleshoot their causes, and confirm their resolution.
Monitor, track, and report test results to verify the impact of code changes.
Work with the development team to ensure the end product is ready for mortgage origination team members.
Support the system after release by troubleshooting reported defects, reporting verified bugs, and confirming resolution.
Develop measures to ensure software quality.
Determine testing needs and communicate them with the team.
