About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the servicing of commercial loans at the Chantilly Branch. The manager will oversee all aspects of loan documentation, processing, closing, and post-closing activities. This includes coordinating with legal counsel, ensuring compliance, managing financial transactions, and maintaining loan servicing systems. The position also involves member communication, reporting, and staying updated on regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy and completeness of all commercial loan closing documentation.
  • Coordinate and process loan packages for newly approved and renewed loans, ensuring timely imaging and filing.
  • Work closely with legal counsel to facilitate closings, including ordering and reviewing title work, flood certifications, and environmental reports.
  • Ensure proper execution of all loan documents and perform post-closing reviews for completeness and compliance.
  • Track and manage receipt of recorded documents such as mortgages, final title policies, and assignment of rents and leases.
  • Order and manage commercial real estate appraisals and inspections.
  • Fund new loans and approved construction draws; manage payment posting, including manual corrections for rejected payments.
  • Oversee partial releases, ensuring accurate parcel identification and receipt of appropriate payoff amounts.
  • Monitor and track member insurance coverage, ensuring adequate protection on all collateralized loans.
  • Maintain active communication with members to resolve servicing inquiries and provide loan-related guidance.
  • Open business deposit accounts in coordination with the lending process.
  • Serve as department administrator for Laser Pro and FICS Commercial Servicer systems.
  • Maintain system updates, apply quarterly releases, and test new features for operational readiness.
  • Add, delete, and train system users, ensuring secure and appropriate access to servicing platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues in partnership with the IT Department.
  • Produce and distribute accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on commercial loan activity.
  • Complete and distribute annual borrower tax forms (e.g., 1098), and submit IRS reports accordingly.
  • Manage compliance documentation for participation loans and ensure proper commitment delivery.
  • Balance general ledger accounts in coordination with the Accounting Department and maintain loan conversion schedules.
  • Ensure timely mailing of payment and delinquency notices; generate and analyze weekly past-due reports.
  • Attend industry conferences and training events to stay informed of regulatory changes and system upgrades.
  • Maintain a member first mindset.

  • Complete all training as required.
