About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring unarmed Security Officers in the Montgomery, Alabama area. Officers deter criminal activity, protect property, enforce property rules, and may monitor surveillance cameras and alarms or patrol areas and conduct security checks. In factories and offices, officers may protect equipment and workers and check the credentials of vehicles and people entering and leaving the premises.

Available assignments include Rover, Gatehouse, and Front Desk. Rovers conduct foot or vehicle patrols and watch for suspicious behavior and criminal activity. Gatehouse officers greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, and control property access. Front Desk officers greet guests and residents, provide customer service and access control, monitor CCTV systems, announce visitors, and distribute packages.

The role pays $20.16 per hour and is part-time, with first-, second-, and third-shift positions. Weekend and holiday availability is required. State training and licensing assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state security license; the employer states it will help candidates obtain one.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Weekend and holiday availability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in security or customer service; prior security experience is a plus but is not required.
• Computer skills.
• Monitoring and surveillance experience.

Responsibilities

• Deter criminal activity, protect property, and enforce property rules.

• Conduct foot or vehicle patrols and detect suspicious behavior or criminal activity, for Rover assignments.
• Greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, and control access, for Gatehouse assignments.
• Greet guests and residents, provide customer service and access control, monitor CCTV systems, announce visitors, and distribute packages, for Front Desk assignments.
