The primary purpose of this job position is to direct the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern nursing facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times. This role oversees the quality of care and analyzes the entire operation of the nursing facility, being responsible for its overall operational functioning. The position involves monitoring census, developing and implementing facility programs, managing budgets, creating and maintaining policies, and acting as a role model for the company's mission, vision, and values. The Business Office Manager also engages in community relations, stays updated on industry regulations, understands staffing requirements, resolves HR and Risk Management issues, oversees capital improvements, and participates in advisory committees. Ensuring safety regulations are followed, developing a strong industry reputation, and collaborating with support teams are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the position involves contract negotiations with vendors, supporting clinical efforts, managing collections and accounts receivable, and developing strategies to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover. Understanding and reviewing quality measures, assisting survey teams, and developing plans of correction for deficiencies are also crucial responsibilities.
