Business Development Specialist - Southeast

FloodGate Medical•Tampa, FL

About The Position

BioBridge is seeking a Business Development Specialist to build its Atlanta territory and expand into surrounding markets. The role focuses on prospecting, developing physician relationships, and acquiring new accounts across cardiology practices, hospital electrophysiology departments, and health systems. The specialist will create and manage a pipeline, balancing shorter-cycle private-practice opportunities with longer institutional sales, and help establish BioBridge's presence throughout the region. Dedicated clinical and account management teams support customer needs and new-account transitions, allowing the specialist to focus on winning business and growing the territory. BioBridge's platform consolidates remote monitoring data from implanted cardiac devices made by Abbott, Biotronik, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic. Its services include daily clinical review and alert triage, patient connectivity assistance, insurance verification and reimbursement support, blood pressure and weight monitoring, and integration with several electronic health record systems. Compensation is a $100,000 base with $200,000 OTE, uncapped commissions paid monthly, and a six-month guarantee. Atlanta is preferred as the candidate's base, though candidates elsewhere may be considered if they can cover Atlanta and travel throughout the territory.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of cardiac rhythm management (CRM), cardiology, or electrophysiology sufficient to engage physicians confidently and answer clinical questions credibly.
  • Evidence of proactive business development, strong sales-support contributions, or readiness to transition into a new-business sales role.
  • Track record of creating opportunities and opening new accounts rather than servicing an inherited book.
  • Two years of relevant CRM experience followed by broader healthcare sales experience.
  • Ability to travel throughout Atlanta and surrounding regional markets.
  • Hunter mentality and willingness to prospect consistently and knock on doors to create opportunities.
  • Self-motivation, persistence, and ability to work independently in a growing company.
  • Clear communication with physicians, practice leaders, and purchasing stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a small company with little formality and direct access to leadership.
  • Motivation to build a territory and earn on performance.

Nice To Haves

  • CRM sales or clinical sales-support experience.
  • Experience as a senior or principal clinical specialist, or as a field sales trainer.
  • Existing cardiology and EP relationships in Atlanta or surrounding markets.
  • Hospital sales experience and familiarity with value analysis committee processes.
  • Fluency with reimbursement and CPT codes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business with cardiology practices, hospital EP departments, and health systems.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline from initial outreach through close, balancing private-practice opportunities with longer-cycle institutional sales.
  • Navigate hospital purchasing and value analysis processes, using private-practice relationships to help champion institutional entry.
  • Develop a territory plan for Atlanta and surrounding markets, including opportunities outside major metropolitan areas.
  • Establish BioBridge's presence in Atlanta and surrounding markets and maintain consistent prospecting across account sizes.
  • Develop relationships with physicians, practice leaders, and other purchasing stakeholders.
  • Present BioBridge's offering and discuss common CRM and remote-monitoring questions with clinical credibility.
  • Coordinate with clinical and account management teams to support new-customer transitions and communicate customer needs.
