About The Position

Actuate is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support its account-based go-to-market strategy. The BDR partners directly with senior Account Executives, leadership, marketing, and Client Success to research target accounts, engage prospective buyers, qualify inbound leads, and create pipeline. Approximately 80% of the role’s activity is outbound to named accounts and 20% is qualifying inbound leads. Actuate selects target accounts within restaurants, convenience stores, retail, automotive, and banking, then develops an account plan for each. The BDR researches relevant contacts, personalizes outreach across multiple channels, engages multiple stakeholders within accounts, and books qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives. The role also helps shape sales messaging and plays as Actuate scales, and offers a defined path to an Account Executive role for BDRs who earn it. Actuate is a Denver-based IoT startup whose Act Hub facility intelligence platform helps multi-location operators manage building portfolios. The company says its platform helps clients reduce energy costs and emergency dispatches. The position is full-time and salaried, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the Denver office.
