About The Position

Senpilot is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate pipeline and close smaller deals while preparing larger opportunities for the commercial team. The BDR will be an early point of contact for utility leaders, researching accounts, creating demand, and delivering virtual product demonstrations to operations, engineering, customer, and regulatory leaders. Target accounts include investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, and cooperatives across the United States and Canada. This role is intended for an AI-native outbound seller who uses current AI tools in prospecting, research, and messaging and can identify where those tools are useful. The role offers a stated growth path into an Account Executive position. Senpilot develops AI agents for utilities, automating work such as engineering workflows, regulatory filings, and compliance. The company describes its mission as building an intelligence layer for the modern grid to improve safety, resilience, and efficiency. The team combines expertise in AI systems, data engineering, and energy infrastructure. The position follows a hybrid work arrangement. The team gathers at its Brooklyn, New York office three times per week, and the company welcomes candidates able to attend in person on those days. Senpilot is unable to sponsor visas at this time.
