Business Development Representative (BDR)

About The Position

LiveX AI is a Google and NVIDIA ISV building AI-powered holographic displays for stadiums, retail, hotels, airports, and enterprises. The Business Development Representative (BDR) drives top-of-funnel pipeline for the enterprise sales motion. This is a pure outbound role and the first point of contact for prospects: the BDR works curated target-account lists and books meetings for the Head of GTM and senior sales team. Phone outreach is described as the highest-converting channel, so the role requires a willingness to cold call. Strong performance can lead to an Account Executive or sales management path. The position is based in Palo Alto, with on-site work most days and occasional remote days. Some travel is required for trade shows and customer events. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and uncapped commission on meetings booked and pipeline generated; no salary range is listed. The role also offers equity, health, dental, and vision coverage, and direct mentorship from the Head of GTM and senior sales team.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of BDR/SDR experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, hardware, or enterprise sales.
  • Demonstrated outbound experience, including cold calling, cold emailing, and pipeline building; inbound qualification alone is not sufficient.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding quota for meetings booked, opportunities created, or pipeline generated.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication, including communication with senior executives.
  • Resilience, high energy, and desire to grow toward an AE or sales management role.
  • Curiosity about holograms, AI, and enterprise use cases.
  • HubSpot experience is required; Salesforce is acceptable.
  • Experience with relevant prospecting, outreach, communication, spreadsheet, and scheduling tools listed in the posting, including Apollo, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, Lusha, Clay, Outreach, Salesloft, Smartlead, Instantly, Gmail, Slack, LinkedIn, Loom, Google Sheets/Excel, Calendly, Chili Piper, or HubSpot Meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI tools for prospecting and personalization, such as Clay, ChatGPT, Claude, or custom GPTs.
  • List pulling using web scraping or basic automation.

Responsibilities

  • Work curated target-account lists across stadiums and sports venues, retail brands, hotels, airports, automotive, and large events.
  • Research event leaders, marketing executives, innovation leads, and operations decision-makers at target accounts.
  • Run personalized multi-channel outreach through email, LinkedIn, and phone.
  • Book qualified discovery meetings for the Head of GTM and senior AEs, providing clean handoff notes.
  • Add contacts at existing accounts, including events leaders, CMOs, and heads of fan or guest experience.
  • Pull exhibitor and attendee lists from conferences, including Google Cloud Next, NRF, HITEC, and sports business conferences.
  • Report which job titles, verticals, and messaging convert.
  • Log every meaningful interaction in HubSpot; keep deal stages and lead statuses current; and mark leads lost after 4–5 unanswered follow-ups with a note.
  • Maintain clean contact records, accurate next steps, visible task queues, and updated sequences; track reply rates.
  • Attend trade shows and events to capture leads, scan badges, and schedule on-site demos.
  • Follow up on event leads within 24 hours.
  • Own weekly activity, conversion, and pipeline metrics; communicate proactively and update the CRM in real time.
  • Balance manual list building with automated sequences and enrichment, with a bias toward action.
