Business Development Manager - U.S. Market Expansion

Asplundh Power•Urbana, IL
•$150,000 - $170,000

About The Position

Nomos is a specialized manufacturer of control cabinets and integrated control systems for high-voltage equipment and power transformer applications. As part of the Asplundh Power division, Nomos combines specialized engineering expertise with the resources and stability of a large North American utility and infrastructure group. The company is pursuing long-term growth in the United States and is seeking a senior-level business development professional to strengthen and diversify its market presence. The Business Development Manager will develop and execute a structured, multi-year U.S. market expansion plan, focusing on proactive market development, new relationships, and strategic positioning in the high-voltage and power transformer ecosystem. The role complements the existing U.S. sales presence and emphasizes prospecting, positioning, and generating qualified opportunities rather than transactional closing. Sales cycles may take 12–36 months, so success requires persistence, technical credibility, and the ability to build trust over time. The manager will work with Nomos engineering and technical teams, who handle detailed technical discussions and proposals. The position is national in U.S. scope and requires travel up to 60%. Compensation is a base salary of $150,000–$170,000, plus commission and a vehicle stipend.
