About The Position

Encon Heating & AC is hiring a Business Development Manager to develop new commercial HVAC business in Lower Fairfield County, based out of its Stamford, Connecticut office. The position is field-focused, with approximately one day per week in the office and the remainder spent in the territory, generally within roughly an hour or two of home. HVAC experience is not required; technical training is provided. The manager focuses on an assigned industry, builds expertise and a professional network within it, and develops a target list of 500–800 commercial properties with the sales manager. This is a new-business role centered on prospecting, earning meetings with decision-makers, identifying building needs, designing suitable maintenance programs, and closing agreements. After closing, the manager hands the agreement to the operations team and continues prospecting. Compensation includes a base salary, uncapped commission on new agreements, and annual payouts on retained customers in the manager’s book of business.
