About The Position

ABGi USA is hiring on behalf of one of their EPC clients who is seeking a relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help expand the company’s presence across key industrial and commercial markets, with a particular focus on identifying and pursuing new construction opportunities. This individual will be responsible for developing new client relationships, strengthening existing industry connections, and positioning the Company for future project opportunities. Experience and established relationships within the data center market are highly preferred, though candidates with strong business development backgrounds across food & beverage, oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, distribution, or other industrial construction markets will also be considered. This is a highly visible, client-facing role suited for someone who enjoys being in the market, building genuine relationships, opening doors, and turning those relationships into long-term business opportunities.

Requirements

Approximately 5-10 years of business development, sales, client development, or related experience within construction, engineering, industrial services, or a related industry preferred.
Candidates with 3-5+ years of direct data center experience and established relationships with data center owners and decision-makers are strongly preferred.
Experience within food & beverage, oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, distribution, or other industrial construction markets will also be considered.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships, generate new opportunities, and develop a pipeline of prospective business.
Existing network of owner, developer, engineering, construction, or industry contacts is highly valued.
Comfortable with a mix of inside and outside business development, with the majority of time spent actively engaging with clients and prospects.
Strong presentation, communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Monday.com or a similar CRM platform preferred.
Self-motivated and comfortable independently developing relationships and pursuing opportunities.
Willingness to attend industry events, entertain clients, travel locally and regionally as needed, and maintain an active presence in the market.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and pursue new construction opportunities aligned with Company's capabilities and target markets.
Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, operators, consultants, and other key decision-makers, with an emphasis on the data center market.
Leverage existing industry relationships while continuously developing new contacts and prospective clients.
Generate new business through a combination of outbound calls, email outreach, social media engagement, networking, industry events, referrals, and face-to-face meetings.
Represent the Company at client meetings, presentations, conferences, networking events, and other industry functions.
Develop relationships through regular client engagement, including meetings, lunches, dinners, events, and other business-development activities.
Monitor the market for upcoming construction projects and identify opportunities early in the project lifecycle.
Partner closely with the VP of Business Development & Marketing and internal leadership to develop pursuit strategies for targeted opportunities.
Manage and maintain contact information, prospect activity, communications, and account details within the CRM.
Maintain visibility into prospective clients, opportunities, relationship activity, and pipeline development.
Develop a strong understanding of the Company's capabilities and effectively communicate the company's value proposition to prospective clients.
Serve as a trusted relationship manager throughout the business-development process, from initial introduction through project pursuit and handoff.
